ANOTHER CVP SCOOP: A Wood-Ridge man out on bail after a cocaine arrest three weeks ago was back behind bars after a borough officer this morning reported finding him carrying pot and several Adderall pills packaged for sale during a traffic stop.
The driver received summonses for drug possession, failing to signal and driving an unregistered vehicle, which was impounded.
However, his passenger, 22-year-old John Berman was being held on $10,000 bail after Wood-Ridge Police Lt. Michael O’Donnell reported finding him carrying the stimulants and marijuana.
The charges include: possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of prescription pills, possession with intent to distribute, and possession with intent in a school zone.
Berman was arrested on July 9 after Detective Joseph Biamonte caught him and another man arguing in a parked car and him carrying cocaine, a scale and 120 small bags used to package the drug, Detective Joseph Rutigliano Jr. said.
O’Donnell backed up Biamonte on that call.
The female driver was released without charges.
