YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Glen Rock consultant whose home was frequented by young musicians was arrested on pot possession and child endangerment charges following a raid last night.
Irina Lapin, 59, posted $25,000 bail and was released pending court action.
Three juveniles also were taken into custody. Juvenile complaints were being signed against them, authorities said.
Workers from the Bergen County office of the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency were at the raid, which involved several Glen Rock officers and a Bergen County Sheriff’s K-9 unit.
Some of the youngsters removed amplifiers and other musical equipment from a detached garage during the raid.
A few of them indicated their displeasure with having their photos taken by raising their middle fingers.
Officers, meanwhile, seized a few boxes of belongings and a picnic cooler.
Lapin, who describes herself on social networks as a single mother and creative strategist, planner and market researcher, is charged with possessing less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of child endangerment, Glen Rock Police Chief Frederick P. Stahman said in a statement this afternoon.
A neighbor who spoke on the condition of anonymity told CLIFFVIEW PILOT that the detached garage had become a popular but nuisance-prone hang out for dozens of young skateboarders.
