Park Ridge police said a 19-year-old Saddle Brook man surrendered after leading them on a high-speed motorcycle chase and was released on bail pending a court hearing.
Dallas J. Uychich blew a red light on Pascack Road at the intersection of Park Avenue and kept going with an officer in pursuit — the lights and siren of his police cruiser activated — before cutting up a dirt walking path in Atkins Glen Park, they said.
Officers said they followed the path and found Uychich staying at a residence nearby after identifying him in surveillance footage shot on Kinderkamack Road, where another officer recalled seeing the bike earlier in the day.
Uychich, who was graduated from Park Ridge High School last year, is charged with eluding, obstruction and resisting arrest. He also was issued several motor vehicle summonses, police said.
He was released pending a court hearing in Pascack Joint Municipal Court next Wednesday after posting 10% of $25,000 bail.
