Cory Booker and his shrink-wrapped bus rolled into rainy Ridgewood today for campaign stops at Starbucks, Carousel Cupcakes, the Warner Quad Cinema, Sherwin Williams Paint and the Doubletake consignment shop.
The U.S. Senate Democratic primary candidate also met people getting off the train at rush hour.
Booker, who recently opened a campaign office on Godwin Avenue, was welcomed by Mayor Paul Aronsohn (second photo below, left) and his son.
Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward (second photo below, middle) planned and coordinated all security arrangements.
Ward had at least two plainclothes officers and one uniformed officer around — along with himself and his friend, Fairview Police Chief Frank Del Vecchio.
The primary is this Tuesday..
