YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: An undercover operation led to the arrests of four women — including one from River Edge — who Rochelle Park police said were turning tricks, as well as a Queens man identified as their pimp.
Detectives last night used undercover vehicles and electronic devices surveillance devices at area hotels after responding to online advertisements, Police Chief Robert Flannelly said this afternoon.
A series of safe “transactions and exchanges” witnessed by all of the officers were made, Flanelly said.
Police seized $1,000 in alleged proceeds and several small bags of marijuana, the chief said.
Arrested were:
Jian Wang, 50, of Flushing, who police said drove the dates, collected the money and was charged with promoting prostitution;
Deyanira Hiraldo, 36 (top, right), of River Edge; Huang Ying, 37 (bottom, left), also of Flushing; and Morgan Busumtwi, 33 (bottom, right), of Paterson, all charged with engaging in prostitution;
Patricia Cerullo, 50 (top, left), of Rego Park, NY, charged with promoting prostitution, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All were released on summonses with a November court date.
