YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: An 18-year-old Midland Park woman was arrested on charges of directing a 12-year-old victim to send her digital images “that were sexual in nature,” authorities said tonight.
Amanda Giardina was charged with two counts of child endangerment — one for possession and the other for instructing the victim to send the images — after detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit and Midland Park police arrested her yesterday, Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.
She was released without bail on a summons, he said.
Giardina, who Molinelli said is a student, was “using the Internet and mobile devices to contact the victim and ultimately convince the child to create and electronically send images of a sexual nature,” Molinelli said.
A Jan. 27 arraignment was scheduled in Municipal Court.
