UPDATE: A 20-year-old Rowan University student from Bergenfield was reported in good condition after being shot in both legs in a drive-by while attending an overnight party near the campus, school officials said.
Two suspects, both 23, were stopped and taken into custody shortly after freshman Anayo Iloabanafor was hospitalized with gunshot wounds around 1 a.m., local police said. He was later released, they said.
Iloabanafor, a former track athlete at Bergen Catholic, was attending a party at the Campus Crossings apartment complex, just off Route 322 in Gloucester Township, where authorities said both students and others rent apartments.
Witnesses told police a passenger in a Chevy Camaro fired several rounds from what looked like a silver-colored revolver.
