ONLY ON CVP: A Rochelle Park woman joined her brother in the Bergen County Jail today after a grand jury indicted him for sexually abusing a girl for more than a year beginning when she was 4 and her with coaxing the youngster to lie.
Joanna Marie Ringwald, 28, was charged with child abuse in the investigation of 21-year-old Richard W. Rodriguez, the indictment returned by a grand jury in Hackensack yesterday alleges.
Rodriguez, who has a history of burglary, theft and failure to pay support arrests, is charged in the indictment with first-degree aggravated sexual assault of the girl through vaginal penetration beginning in November 2013.
It also charges him with touching the girl’s vagina and buttocks and having her touch his penis, and with impairing the morals of a minor.
The siblings remained held in the Bergen County Jail tonight — Rodriguez on $500,000 bail and Ringwald on $50,000.
