UPDATE: No serious injuries were reported in a pileup involving no fewer than eight cars on Route 4 West at the Sussex Road bridge in Teaneck, backing up traffic for miles — one of three incidents on a quarter-mile stretch of the westbound highway during this morning’s rush, responders told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Meanwhile, a female pedestrian was semi-responsive after being struck at Teaneck Road and State Street in Teaneck. She was taken to the trauma unit at Hackensack University Medical Center.
An investigation that closed the roadway was ongoing.
In Hackensack, a rear-ender closed the fast lane on Route 17 across from the Home Depot.
