YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 20-year-old Elmwood Park store clerk accused of selling undercover detectives Bergen County detectives two ounces of pot in April and May already was facing drug charges out of Hasbrouck Heights.

Joshua Swift and a 16-year-old boy were passengers in a vehicle whose driver refused to give Hasbrouck Heights police consent to search it following a Feb. 7 traffic stop on Boulevard and Columbus Avenue, Detective Lt. Michael Colaneri told CLIFFVIEW PILOT last night.

A Bergen County Sheriff’s K-9 unit dog indicated drugs in the 2013 Toyota, so the trio was released and the car was impounded while detectives obtained a search warrant, he said.

Arrests warrants were issued after they found more than an ounce and a half of pot, nearly a dozen sheets of LSD and small amounts of mushrooms and prescription pills, Colaneri said.

They also found packaging materials, scales and other paraphernalia, he said.

Warrants were issued and both Swift and 22-year-old Evan C. Gobrili were taken into custody and charged with six counts each of distributing and possessing drugs, as well as possessing drug paraphernalia.

Swift posted $35,000 bail four days later (above, right) and was released from the Bergen County Jail. Gobrili was released after posting $30,000 bail on Feb. 25.

Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Narcotic Task Force then arrested Swift on Jan. 2 (above, left).

He later posted $25,000 bail and was released.
