YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A married 32-year-old charter school teacher exchanged oral sex with a 15-year-old she brought to her Lyndhurst home, authorities said following her arrest today.
A Superior Court judge in Hackensack ordered Lauren Mitchell held on $150,000 bail on charges of aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.
Several teachers at the Dr. Lena Edwards Academic Charter School, where Mitchell taught second grade, went to authorities after they “observed what they believed was inappropriate interactions” between her and the girl, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli.
Authorities were continuing an investigation into Mitchell, who had a July 7 arraignment scheduled in Central Municipal Court in Hackensack.
