UPDATE: A search for a 15-year-old boy that began after friends said they lost sight of him in the water at Crestwood Lake in Allendale tonight was found safe and sound with his mother.
What his friends didn’t know when they alerted police just before 7 p.m. is that the boy had gotten out of the municipally-owned lake and left with his mom, Police Chief George Scherb told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Allendale Fire Rescue responded along with Mahwah Rescue, Oradell Dive Water Rescue, Allendale Ambulance and Waldwick Ambulance, the chief said. Midland Park police also assisted, he said.
