UPDATE: A Garfield man had a pound of pot worth $4,000, along with a digital scale, packaging material and a heat sealer, in his apartment when it was raided by narcotics detectives, authorities said.
Leon Joseph, 34, was released on a court summons charging himwith marijuana possession with the intent to distribute the drug.
Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said members of his Narcotic Task Force hit the Malcolm Avenue residence with Regional SWAT team members and Garfield police on July 2 after detectives watched activities there.
