A disgraced Leonia firefighter from Ridgefield Park was accused today of leaving his 5-year-old son alone in a playground next to the borough police station for nearly an hour while he was getting oral sex in a car, Daily Voice has learned.
Charles Pipitone, 47, posted $2,500 bail and was released from the Bergen County Jail just after 9 o’clock tonight following his arrest this afternoon, records show.
Officer Erik Goodell and Detective Sgt. Christopher Garris came running after a concerned resident went into headquarters around 1:30 p.m., Police Chief Thomas Rowe told Daily Voice tonight.
They took custody of the boy and arrested Pipitone after he emerged to see what the commotion was about, witnesses said.
He was charged with lewdness and child endangerment and given an Oct. 6 court date. READ MORE….
