Police officers from no fewer than 18 agencies converged in Midland Park this morning to search for a former Long Island police officer who was wanted on warrants — and believed suicidal and possibly armed — following a domestic incident overnight, law enforcement officials told Daily Voice.
The search conducted by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Rapid Deployment Force forced the cancellation of several area events while authorities searched in vain.
“No one was really sure whether he had a gun,” one law enforcement official said.
Daily Voice learned late this afternoon that the suspect’s attorney was in touch with authorities to possibly arrange his surrender to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. READ MORE….
