Teaneck police kept an eye late Thursday into the overnight on the Glenpointe Marriott, where the controversial Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ — branded a black supremacist hate group by a civil rights organization — held a meeting that lasted until nearly 1:30 a.m.
“There were no issues, and we didn’t expect there to be,” a law enforcement source told Daily Voice.
As a precaution, township police requested mobilization of the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association Rapid Deployment Force — a team of elite officers trained to handle large crowds — on “low ready” alert.
