Elmwood Park detectives and uniformed officers reviewing surveillance video from a gift shop burglary Thursday night quickly identified a local ex-con and arrested him, Police Chief Michael Foligno told Daily Voice.
Officers responding to the 9:47 p.m. ADT alarm at the Pyramid Gift Shop on Market Street found a rear door pried open and several packs of Newport cigarettes missing, Foligno said.
A Bergen County Sheriff’s K-9 unit traced a scent halfway down Chestnut Street while borough police reviewed surveillance video from the gift shop and nearby Fair Food Market, the chief said. READ MORE….
