UPDATE: A 28-year-old Englewood man pursuing a law degree was killed in a single-car accident before dawn this morning.
Kwasi Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on North Dean Street north of Concord Street around 3 a.m., Englewood Police Chief Lawrence Suffern said.
Suffern said the car hit an abutment and that initial indications are that “there were no obvious contributing factors.”
An investigation was continuing.
Mendoza recently was working for Englewood attorney Henry G. Klein, after working in Superior Court in Hackensack, as he pursued his J.D. degree at Rutgers School of Law in Newark.
