YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: The elderly driver of a Lexus sedan wound up on the wrong side of a chain link fence this afternoon after apparently mistaking the gas pedal for the brake while trying to park behind a Ridgewood medical office building.
Police helped escort both occupants from the active railroad line behind 505 Goffle Road.
Both appeared OK.
Ridgewood firefighters removed a portion of the fence to help recover the vehicle, which was towed by a flatbed.
