UPDATE: Workers gutting a Mahwah house may have ignited a fire that quickly spread this afternoon before responders put it down.
The call from Brookwood Drive in the Masonicus section came in as a chimney fire just before 1:30 p.m., responders told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
However, they found smoke coming from the garage, as well.
All five township companies responded, along with Ramsey FAST and a Tallman, NY engine.
