YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A double tragedy struck Lodi High School last night when a 16-year-old student trying to jump the median on Route 46 was struck and killed by a car driven by a 19-year-old student, authorities said this morning.
No charges or summons were filed against the driver of the Volkwagen Golf after the victim was brought to Hackensack University Medical Center following the 9:15 accident, Anthony Cureton of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Hasbrouck Heights and Saddle Brook police assisted with traffic control while the sheriff’s office investigated.
